Synopsis:
After ten failed attempts at romance, florist Xu Nuo has become cynical. Her family wants her to marry a guy for whom she has no affections, even if her life appears to have come to a grinding standstill. Zhao Jin, a veterinarian who is also at a crossroads in his life, crosses paths with her. His obligations to his family are a burden. He seems to be being strongly urged into marriage by fate. It seems that bad luck has struck when ideal prospects are chosen for them; Xu Nuo and Zhao Jin begin to experience the overwhelming pull of love. They ask themselves whether they can just be platonic friends in their desperation. However, being close to Zhao Jin helps Xu Nuo’s emotional wounds heal. Furthermore, Zhao Jin feels a level of happiness that he has never known while he is with Xu Nuo. But social pressure starts to build, and the time for reckoning is approaching.
