Synopsis:
The rich Lin family is obliterated overnight with the end of the Qing Dynasty (1636–1912) and the start of the Republic of China (1912–1949). Lin Mengchen, the sole daughter who survives, is sold to the evil, affluent Huang family so that she might have a ghost wedding with their son who has passed away. The greatest assassin in the Blood Sacrifice Hall, Xiaosheng, who has been charged with eliminating the Huang family, unintentionally saves Mengchen just before she is set to be buried alive.
Mengchen not only doesn’t exhibit fear when seeing Xiaosheng murder someone, but she also views the guy leading the expedition as her protector. Then, Xiaosheng makes the decision to stay with Mengchen. As they greet one another as brother and sister, Xiaosheng makes a lifelong promise to keep Mengchen safe. In the span of one eyeblink, ten years had gone by. To ensure that his “sister” enjoys a happy upbringing, Xiaosheng has been living as two different people. Here before Mengchen is Mr. Ye, a businessman doing business with outside companies.
He is still the head assassin of the Blood Sacrifice Hall, secreted somewhere in the shadows beyond Mengchen’s knowledge. However, Xiaosheng is unaware that Mengchen, his naïve and innocent sister, whom he has been protecting for 10 years, has really learned his true identity and surreptitiously became a member of the Blood Sacrifice Hall. She is now Xiaosheng’s pupil. She is now Guyu, a future assassin in training.
