Summary:
No Chak Hee, an ace lawyer at a large legal firm, is prepared to take whatever risk necessary to win a case and is about to be promoted to a partner position until a snag arises on a case she took. She receives a one-year suspension as a result of the incident. She then starts working as a public defender, but she eventually wants to go back to the legal company where she used to work.
She shares an office as a public defender with Jwa Shi Baek, a distinguished alumna of the Judicial Research and Training Institute. He decided to serve as a public defender rather than pursue a career as a judge, a prosecutor, or an attorney at a major law firm. Although he is passionate about his career, he also has a secret side to his personal life that no one is aware of.
Although No Chak Hee and Jwa Shi Baek don’t get along well, a serial murder case drew them together, and as they work to solve the case together, more secrets come to light and their mutual trust grows.
