Synopsis:
Ji Shu is a novelist of her generation. His readers love his writings, but the author Ji Shu is emotionally distant and pessimistic. His books’ tragic endings are a reflection of his gloomy worldview. He epitomizes the bad ending (BE) author in many respects. Song Yan Qi, on the other hand, is an upbeat drama series producer. She prefers tales with a triumphant conclusion. Despite Song Yan Qi’s desire to adapt a Ji Shu book for the cinema, Ji Shu is unable to let it because of the happy ending Song Yan Qi envisions for the plot. But as they enter the novel’s universe, everything falls apart for the pair. Together, they will “live” the lives of Ji Shu’s characters and “rewrite” the novel, all the while becoming more attracted to one another. What kind of happy or tragic endings will their own love tales have?
