Synopsis:
During a summer internship recruitment event in their junior year, Lin Tuo meets An Zhi Que in his prime. It is love at first sight. As graduation draws near, the two set out to leave the ivory tower and into the working world. They look for employment, take up part-time work, and make plans for their future together. Even when things don’t go as planned, they support one another. But just when things seem to be going well, Lin Tuo is given a diagnosis that permanently alters their life.
After receiving an ALS diagnosis, Lin Tuo’s apparently normal yet promising life comes to an end. With her future cut short, Lin Tuo heroically battles the illness. Releasing himself from the notion of accepting his destiny, he discovers how to live with his last sickness. Even other ALS sufferers find inspiration in Lin Tuo’s path. He challenges them to reconsider their philosophy on life, to savor the here and now, and to make an effort to face every day with optimism and no regrets.
