Synopsis:

At the insistence of her mother Liu Wan Yu, Mai Cheng Huan, a post-1995 girl from a regular Shanghai household, proposed marriage to her lover, Xin Jia Liang. Nevertheless, this initially equal emotional bond became lopsided due to the Xin family’s excellent economic circumstances.
