Synopsis:
The story takes place during the Anti-Japanese War. It tells the story of Xia Ji Cheng, a proud member of a well-to-do political family who first intended to enlist in the Navy in order to realize his ambition of becoming a captain. But an unplanned trip to Shanghai dramatically alters his life, and he ends up as a low-level police officer.
